More About Zap Zone

The Zap Zone name has been around for over 30 years and has 9 locations across Michigan and one in Canada. In 2023, Zap Zone Lansing moved to a bigger and better building and became Zap Zone XL.

With over 15 different attractions and 120,000 square feet of space, Zap Zone XL really lives up to the XL in the name!   We spoke to Ghali, one of the owners of Zap Zone, to see what he had to say about this exciting achievement.

“We are so thankful to our staff, families, vendors, and community for helping us get to where we are today. It has been so rewarding to see how our business has grown and expanded since we opened our first location over two decades ago. Being the first laser tag customer for LaserBlast played a tremendous role in establishing our foothold in the entertainment industry. Not to mention, we were able to be the first live site for their new Putt Mania product. We are excited for future prospects and appreciate our partnership with the LaserBlast team.”

Let’s take a closer look into the longstanding relationship between Zap Zone and Putt Mania.

Putt Mania’s History with Zap Zone

Putt Mania’s involvement with Zap Zone stems from their long history of partnership with LaserBlast. As Ghali mentioned, Zap Zone was the very first laser tag customer for LaserBlast Laser Tag Equipment.

“We are proud to have been working together since 1997”, describes Mike Ewald, President of Putt Mania and LaserBlast. “They are a Michigan-based company just like us and are always trying out the latest concepts and pushing ahead of trends. It came as no surprise to us that they won the Brass Ring Award for FEC of the year. They are so deserving and we couldn’t be happier for them”, explains Mike.

In early 2024, Zap Zone XL also became our first live test site for Putt Mania Interactive Mini Golf. Our team spent a lot of time in Lansing installing and monitoring equipment to assure that our product was ready for the IAAPA Expo that November.

We added Putt Mania to both of their two mini golf courses at Zap Zone XL, one being a more traditional concrete style course and one being a newer style raised wooden course. Both have been highly successful and very well-received by their guests.

We are truly honored to be the mini golf tech and laser tag equipment provider of 2024’s best FEC in the world. We highly recommend you pay them a visit in Lansing if you ever have the opportunity. You are sure to have a blast!
